REFLECTIONS IN THE MOMENT . . . The Journey Continues

Navigating my journey this year of 2020 it has been strange for us all, from the rhetoric and hate from the political arena that captured a true image of a divided and fractured country; that further gave anarchist to come out of the shadows to show their true 'colors' of racist, under the guise of 'make America Great Again' lead by Trump. the world witnessing African-American men and women, killed unjustly by police, Mexican children being torn from their family. This is the America that we, as African Americans have lived since 1919, in one form or another. Then there is COID, a virus that is killing thousands daily.

What has helped me personally be able to breathe and be removed from the stress of change and things you can't control, was easier then I thought it would be. My spiritual conscience has sustained me. As I walked, I tried to stay presence in the moment , with the GOD, THE CREATOR, my spirit guides and my ancestors surrounded me, so I was never alone. . In our life time there are so many stressful situations that we can control that must and so many we can't I live by the Serenity prayer:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

Courage to change the things I can;

and Wisdom to know the difference.

Through all of what has occurred this year, I found solace in my daily sunrise walks along the lakefront and capturing the moment photographically
